After six years in London, Box of Tricks is heading North and relocating to Manchester. We're hosting a warehouse party at the Yard Theatre as a fond farwell to the Big Smoke.

Join us for a night of new plays, top-notch comedy, awesome music and much, much more...

Today is Yesterday's Tomorrow :: Theatre
We've commissioned one-page plays from the next generation of new writing - each opening with either 'Today', 'Yesterday' or 'Tomorrow' - to celebrate the next chapter in Box of Tricks' story.
Playwrights include: Kenneth Emson, Daniel Kanaber, Hannah  Nicklin, Elinor Cook, Si
ân Owen, Natasha James, Luke Barnes, Ross Armstrong, Jaki McCarrick, Michael Crowley, Catherine O’Shea, Hannah Mulder, Katie McCullough, Tom Morton Smith, Sarah Speak, Omar El-Khairy, Jon Brittain and Declan Feenan.

So On and So Forth :: Sketch Comedy
Purveyors of Fine Comedy since 2010
From the 2011 winners of the Comedy Film awards comes a live sketch show bursting at the seams. If you enjoyed the wheel, fire and Venetian blinds, you'll love our sketch, 'The burning tyre and the near-sited Italian'. Check out their website.
"A wonderfully constructed, written and performed sketch show"
Three Weeks
"A must see for lovers of sketch comedy and old school British humour" Fringe Review

Henry Blake :: Live Music
Henry has been singing and playing guitar since the age of twelve. He has been gigging for the past 5 years in London, playing at the Tabernacle, Camden Proud Galleries, Barfly, The Troubadour Club and Cargo to name a few as well festivals including the Greenbelt, Respect and Coin Street music festivals. He is currently starting to record his debut album ‘The Latchkey Kid’. Check out his website.

Richard Marsh & Katie Bonna :: Performance Poetry
Richard Marsh and Katie Bonna write and perform together and separately, like Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.  Richard wrote Skittles (BAC and Pleasance) and Nicked (Theatre503 and HighTide).  Katie works as an actress and writer and is currently writing a new play for Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, where she is an Associate Artist.
Their show Brand New Love Story will be at the Vault Festival in the Old Vic Tunnels at the end of February.

Apple of My Eye :: Live Music
The apple of my eye! We sing beautiful and horrible stories. A folk band with many members. Immature artists imitate, mature artists steal. And we are plundering the past. A limitless resource!
Check out their website.

John-Luke Roberts :: Stand-Up Comedy
John-Luke Roberts performs aggressive, whimsical, aggressively whimsical stand-up.
"Structurally impressive, constantly inventive and playfully mischievous" Time Out
"Brilliant solo debut" The Independent
"Fantastically ornate but deeply silly brand of comedy, dripping with absurd puns and utterly unexpected left turns" The Guardian
Check out his picturey nonsense Drorngs and find him on Twitter.

Remodel :: Live Music
Remodel are a guitar band, this is obvious by virtue of the fact they have a guitar player. They are also a pop band, but pop in the sense of bands like the Who, The Smiths and blur. Like all classic British pop bands they are a fourpiece.
