Extra! Extra!
Box of Tricks Theatre is devoted to developing and producing exciting new writing. Past productions include a number of world premières from promising emerging playwrights, and we continue to push the boundaries of new writing on the London stage and beyond.
Through New Tricks, we are giving plays a reading in front of an audience, allowing playwrights to see their work in a performance context and to forge a relationship with the company. Our Word:Play initiative - one word, six new plays - gives playwrights the freedom to play and create, driving their writing in new directions.
We have developed a number of plays - through dramaturgy and workshops - and are committed to a creative and collaborative development process. We are continually on the look out for new scripts from emerging playwrights, with an eye to finding pieces for full production.
